Meet Chantal Howard, Certified Cat Trainer (ABCCT)
Helping cats and their owners build calmer, happier relationships through feline behaviour training, enrichment, and positive reinforcement.

Why I started
Hi, I’m Chantal Howard, a Certified Cat Trainer (ABCCT) based in Ottawa, Ontario. In 2019, I began working with cats and quickly became fascinated by feline behaviour and how differently each cat communicates, learns, and interacts with the world around them. The more I worked with cats, the more I realized how misunderstood they often are, despite their complex and unique ways of communicating with both humans and other animals.
Over time, this passion led me to pursue a career in feline behaviour and training. After completing my certification as a Certified Cat Trainer, I continued expanding my education to stay informed on the latest research and developments in feline behaviour, training, enrichment, and welfare. My long-term goal is to continue working directly with cats, owners, rescues, organizations, and future research opportunities within the feline behaviour field.
I am passionate about understanding feline behaviour and the relationships cats build not only with humans, but also with other animals such as dogs, ferrets, and birds. My focus is helping create more harmonious relationships within multi-pet and human households through understanding, communication, and positive reinforcement.

How I Help Cats and Their Humans
Every cat and household is unique, and behaviour concerns are often influenced by multiple factors such as environmental, routine, stress, health history, and household dynamics. This is why all new clients begin with an intake form before the 15-minute Feline Focus Intro Call.
During the intro call, we'll chat about your concerns, available support options, next steps, and whether I am the right fit for your cat(s) and household. In some cases, referrals or waitlisting may be recommended depending on the needs of the case and current availability.
